Archives New Zealand’s guidance on information and records management

Operational delivery

Operational delivery is the day to day activity of information and records management systems, practices, and processes across an organisation.

Effective management of information and records extends to all:

- formats (and associated metadata)

- business environments

- types of systems

- locations.

Policies, business rules and procedures must tell an organisation’s staff the requirements and responsibilities for creating, capturing and managing information and records.

Best practice guidance for operational delivery is listed in the link on the right.

All guidance is accessed through the Resources and Guides link under Useful Information.

See the Implementation Guide for guidance mapped to the principles of the standard.
